The Programs in our Drug and Alcohol Help in South Florida - Gateway to Recovery includes:

Detoxification - Upon admission to Gateway To Recovery, our experienced medical doctor will examine you to determine what treatment regime will be implemented, depending on what substances you have been using, the duration and quantity of use, and your present physical condition. You will be given a complete psychiatric evaluation. Some medications will be administered throughout the process in order to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. You will be monitored by Gateway to Recovery's nursing staff 24 hours a day during this critical phase of your recovery. Only after clearance from Gateway to Recovery's medical doctor you will be released from the detoxification program. The length of time required for individuals varies from person to person.

Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Program - Once released from Gateway to Recovery's detoxification program, you will move to one of our apartment buildings. There you will share a room with another client of the same gender, and share a furnished apartment with 3 other clients. Every week you are given an allowance for grocery shopping and are responsible for cooking most of your meals. You will be transported by our Gateway to Recovery's staff to our offices, where you will meet your primary therapist. At Gateway to Recovery's office, you will attend daily group therapy, educational classes, and individual therapy. An assessment will be completed to evaluate your therapeutic needs. During this phase of your treatment, you will continue to be monitored by Gateway to Recovery's nursing and mental health staff. Community and 12-step meetings are held daily. In addition, our Drug and Alcohol Help Program in South Florida - Gateway to Recovery offers therapeutic and recreational services. Gateway to Recovery's clients are able to go to our gym for cardiovascular exercise and strength training. Weekend excursions include shopping in beautiful downtown Delray Beach, optional religious services, beach days for relaxation and various other activities centered on learning how to have fun being sober.
